Common Symptom: “I Feel Bloated & Constipated”

If you find yourself regularly thinking “I feel bloated and constipated” then this could be an indicator that your colon is not working at its full efficiency. It’s unlikely that you have ever seen the inside of the colon but if you could see your own and you have these symptoms you would more than likely observe undigested waste clinging to the sides of your colon walls.
A healthy colon will, on average, have a width of between 2 to 2 1/2 inches wall to wall. When undigested faecal matter has been accumulating in the colon it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to deduce that the useful width of the colon will be reduced. This impedes the overall efficiency of the colon and is actually a self-perpetuating cycle.
Because the colon walls are lined with this undigested matter your digestion can suffer which in turn compounds the problem. It’s a vicious cycle and one which you need to take proactive steps to remedy. The real cause of this problem is usually the type of foods we consume. It’s no coincidence that problems in the digestive system have become more common since we have been processing our foods more and more.
Our bodies find it harder to digest overly processed foods and the result is a certain amount of waste material hanging around in the colon. As this waste accumulates so the colon opening narrows and hinders the passage of waste material through the digestive tract.
So how can we diagnose problems like this in the colon?
Well the only way to really do this is to examine your own waste material. If the thought that make you gag then you’d better start toughening up a bit because it’s the only way you’re going to find out! Yes it sounds really disgusting but it’s a small price to pay for diagnosing and correcting the situation.
When you inspect your waste matter your stool should be long, 2 to 2 1/2 inches wide, whole and round. This is a healthy stool. If your stool is floating in the toilet that’s even better. Even an inch and a half is okay but that kind of width may indicate the need for a mild cleanse.
If your stool is stringy, coming out in small pieces or in a sort of ribbon form then this may indicate problems with undigested waste in your colon. If your observations indicate problems such as this then it may be a good idea to consider investing in a colonic treatment.
